Anniversary Celebration Service with Amos Yong on Monday evening, details below.
Special Evening Session with Dr. Amos Yong
Professor of Theology and Mission,
Fuller Theological Seminary (Los Angeles, CA)
Monday at 7 pm | June 8, 2026 — Tyndale Chapel
This is a celebration of 30 years of MPS. Free and open to the public.
About Dr. Yong: Yong’s scholarship has been foundational in Pentecostal theology, interacting with both traditional theological traditions and contemporary contextual theologies—dealing with such themes as the theologies of Christian-Buddhist dialogue, of disability, of hospitality, and of the mission of God. He has authored or edited more than 50 books and 225 scholarly articles, and remains active in church and academy. Among the most recent are Renewing the Church by the Spirit: Theological Education after Pentecost (Theological Education between the Times) (2020), Pentecostal Theology and Jonathan Edwards (2019), Mission after Pentecost (Mission in Global Community): The Witness of the Spirit from Genesis to Revelation (2019), Can “White” People Be Saved?: Triangulating Race, Theology, and Mission (2018), Learning Theology: Tracking the Spirit of Christian Faith (2018), The Bible and Disability: A Commentary (2017), and the Global Renewal Christianity series.
About the Course
PENTECOSTAL ISSUES: AFTER THIRTY YEARS, WHAT WE LEARNED
In Person and Synchronous online
For Summer 2026, the topic is Canadian Pentecostalism and how our understanding of it has advanced in the thirty years since Master’s Pentecostal Seminary (formerly Canadian Pentecostal Seminary) was launched in partnership with Tyndale Seminary in 1996. The founding of the seminary coincided with a new phase of scholarship on Pentecostalism in Canada. The course will have the feel of an academic conference, featuring multiple sessions from a variety of disciplines.
